Word came today, April 8, 2011, that our friend in the Basin, Carl Carline, 80, life-long resident of Charenton, passed on this morning.
Carl was a commercial fisherman and keen observer of the Atchafalaya and we will miss his advice and concern for the health of the place that he loved.
May he rest in peace. He was a true friend of the Atchafalaya.
