Department of Natural Resources Secretary Scott Angelle and DNR staff members will be supporting LA Earth Day this Sunday, April 19, 2009, and the official Earth Day on April 22. The Department is a sponsor and participant in the Sunday activities and the Secretary will teach an environmental class in Lafayette on the 22nd. Secretary Angelle also issued a press release noting the recovery of the Basin ecosystem after Gustav and  the increase in the number of visitors this spring.
