The FOA board has been meeting monthly and will meet again on the fourth Tuesday of April, but this is a special meeting because it is also our annual membership meeting. Anyone can come to the Board meetings but we reserve a special meeting, once a year, for reports from the Board officers on our accomplishments, projects-in-work, and plans for the future.

We also plan to hear from the Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism on a grant that we have been selected to receive for support of Experience Atchafalaya Days (EAD), coming this fall. You may remember EAD from several years ago, when participants from around the Basin led tours, held workshops, sponsored outdoor events and staged festivals to acquaint participants with the treasures of the Atchafalaya Basin. Come let us know that you are interested in taking part in the resurrection of this important project.
